1. Adhere to the correct installation technology. Always follow the installation instructions and points of attention of the manufacturer of the control valve (regulating valve). A brief summary of the typical installation instructions is provided here.
2. Read the operating manual. Before installing the pneumatic control valve, read the instruction manual. The instruction manual describes the product as well as the safety precautions and precautions to be taken before and during installation. Follow the instructions in the manual to help ensure the simplicity and success of the installation.
3. Confirm that the piping is clean. Foreign objects in the pipe may damage the sealing surface of the valve or even the shy, and the movement of the spool, ball or disc causes the valve not to close properly. In order to reduce the likelihood of hazardous conditions, all piping must be cleaned before the valve is installed. Verify that piping dirt, metal debris, solder residue and other foreign objects have been removed. Also, check the pipe flanges to ensure there is a smooth gasket surface. If the valve has a threaded connection end, apply a high grade pipe sealant to the pipe male thread. Do not apply the sealant to the female thread, as the excess sealant on the female thread is squeezed into the valve body.
Excess sealants cause the jam or dirt buildup of the spool, which in turn causes the valve to not shut down properly.
4. Check the control valve (regulating valve). Although valve manufacturers take certain steps to prevent damage to the transport, this damage is likely to occur and can be detected and communicated prior to installation.
